Who can benefit from Wellwoman Active?
Wellwoman® Active is suitable for women of all ages who want optimum energy levels as well as a healthy digestive and immune system. Wellwoman Active gives a helping hand to your body’s normal cleansing process. It combines natural mixed carotenoids and antioxidants to help protect the body against free radicals generated by exercise and the stresses of a busy lifestyle. Wellwoman® Active is also specially beneficial for individuals who do not consume a nutritionally balanced diet, as a separate multivitamin is not necessary. [Top]
When is Wellwoman® Active recommended?
Wellwoman® Active is designed for everyday use, to help maintain health and energy release. Ideal for executives, athletes or those with particularly hectic or demanding lifestyles. With the added benefits of Inulin Prebiotic which encourages the growth of ‘good’ bacteria in the digestive tract. [Top]
Why has Prebiotic Inulin been included in the Wellwoman Active formula?

Inulin is a prebiotic fibre which encourages the growth of good bacteria in the digestive tract, maintaining health of the gut, immune system and general wellbeing.

Prebiotics are types of carbohydrates that cannot be digested in the small intestine: they reach the colon where they provide an energy  source selectively used by good bacteria already present in the gut to grow and multiply in number.  In this way, the healthier bacteria in the colonic microflora are given a competitive advantage over other types of less helpful bacteria present.  [Top]

Can Wellwoman® Active be used during pregnancy and breast-feeding?
During pregnancy, we would recommend a multivitamin supplement specially formulated for pregnancy, such as Vitabiotics Pregnacare®. Pregnacare® contains a careful combination of 16 vitamins and minerals, specially developed for use from before conception, throughout the whole of pregnancy, and also whilst breast-feeding. Pregnacare® is recommended as soon as you start trying for a baby. However, there is no problem if you become pregnant whilst taking Wellwoman® Active, since it contains the recommended level of 400 µg folic acid, and vitamin B12, which play an important role in the development of the unborn baby, before you even know you are pregnant.[Top]
Can Wellwoman® Active be used simultaneously with medications?
Generally, Wellwoman® Active may be used alongside medications, because it contains only moderate levels of vitamins and minerals, and is free from any drugs or hormones. Wellwoman® Active may also be used alongside the contraceptive pill. For specific advice on taking Wellwoman® Active with medicines, we recommend that you contact your doctor or pharmacist first.[Top]
How many tablets does one pack of Wellwoman® Active Prebiotic contain?
Wellwoman Active Prebiotic contains 30 tablets per pack. It is recommended to take two tablets per day.[Top]
How and when should Wellwoman® Active be used?
Two tablets per day is recommended with or immediately after your main meal. Swallow with a full glass of water or a cold drink, without chewing. Taking the tablets with a large meal maximises the absorption of the nutrients, and can reduce nausea, which is sometimes experienced if multivitamins are taken on an empty stomach. Wellwoman® Active should only be taken on a full stomach. Always ensure that Wellwoman® Active is taken with plenty of liquid to wash the capsule down, and not tea or coffee, as this may cause the capsule to disintegrate too early.[Top]
Are there any undesired effects whilst taking Wellwoman® Active?
Wellwoman® Active has no known side effects when taken as directed. Do not exceed the recommended capsule intake. In case of overdose, seek medical advice immediately. [Top]

How long does it take to experience any benefit?
Results vary amongst individuals, but in most cases, we would expect the beneficial effects of the vitamins and minerals in Wellwoman® Active to build over several weeks, with noticeable results in one to three months. There is no maximum length of time over which Wellwoman® Active may be used. A regular intake is recommended. [Top]
Is Wellwoman® Active recommended with any other Vitabiotics product(s)?
Calcium is an essential mineral, important for maintenance of strong, healthy bones. However, it has not been included in the Wellwoman® Active formula, since it is not possible to include the right amount in one small capsule, and secondly, calcium is known to inhibit the absorption of iron and trace elements. Rather than including just a token amount of calcium, Wellwoman® Active has therefore been designed so that it can be used with Vitabiotics' Osteocare® tablets or liquid. For best results, we recommend they be taken at separate times of the day, at least an hour apart.[Top]
